• Before each injection, inspect the medication through the dose window. Do not use the pen if the solution is cloudy, discolored, or contains visible particles.
• Always check the expiration date before use. Do not use the pen after the expiration date has passed.
• Keep the pen out of the reach of children.
• After first use, the pen may be stored for up to 3 weeks in a refrigerator at 2°C–8°C (36°F–46°F).
• The pen is intended for single-patient use only. Never share it with another person.
• Do not shake the pen.
• Do not freeze the pen.
• Do not heat the pen or place it in a microwave oven.
• Protect the pen from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• Store the pen in the refrigerator at 2°C–8°C.

Preparation Before Injection

Step 1 — Attach a New Needle

Screw a new sterile needle firmly onto the pen. Remove both the outer needle cap and the inner needle cap, and keep the outer cap for safe needle removal after the injection.

Step 2 — Wash Your Hands

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling the pen or performing the injection.

Step 3 — Remove the Pen from the Refrigerator

Take the pen out of the refrigerator and allow it to reach room temperature before use. This helps improve injection comfort and ensures proper operation of the pen.

Using the CinnaTropin Pen – Step by Step

Follow these steps carefully each time you prepare your CinnaTropin Pen for injection.

Step 4 — Remove the Pen Cap

Pull the pen cap straight off and set it aside on a clean surface.

Step 5 — Remove the Protective Seal

Remove the protective seal from the medication cartridge before attaching a new needle.

Step 6 — Attach a New Needle

Screw a new sterile needle onto the pen by turning it clockwise until it is firmly attached. Remove both the outer and inner needle caps, keeping the outer cap for safe needle removal after the injection.

Step 7 — Prime the Pen

Hold the pen with the needle pointing upward. Gently tap the cartridge holder to move any air bubbles to the top.

Step 8 — Check the Pen

Press the injection button until a small drop of medication appears at the needle tip. This confirms that the pen is working correctly and is ready for use.

Step 9 — Set the Prescribed Dose

Turn the dose adjustment knob until the dose window displays the exact dose prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Step 10 — The Pen Is Ready

Your CinnaTropin Pen is now prepared for injection. Follow the remaining injection instructions provided in the official user guide and use the pen exactly as directed by your healthcare professional.

Step 11 — Check the Pen Before Injection

Before injecting, gently tap the cartridge holder to move any remaining air bubbles to the top. Small air bubbles may remain and are generally not a problem.

Turn the dose adjustment knob until the dose window displays “0”. Then press the injection button. A small drop of medication should appear at the tip of the needle, confirming that the pen has been primed correctly.

If no drop appears, repeat the priming procedure up to four times. If the pen still does not produce a drop, replace the needle and try again. If the problem continues, contact your healthcare provider or the manufacturer’s support service.

Step 12 — Inject the Medication

Insert the needle into the selected injection site as instructed by your healthcare professional.

Press the injection button completely and hold the pen in place until the dose has been fully delivered. Keep the needle under the skin for several seconds before removing it to ensure the entire dose has been injected.

Step 13 — Choosing the Injection Site

CinnaTropin is intended for subcutaneous (under the skin) injection.

Recommended injection sites include:

• Abdomen (avoiding the area immediately around the navel)
• Front of the thighs
• Upper outer arms
• Buttocks

Rotate injection sites with each dose to reduce the risk of skin irritation or lipodystrophy. Do not inject into areas that are bruised, swollen, scarred, infected, or tender.

Turn the dose adjustment knob until the dose window shows the exact dose prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Turn the knob clockwise to increase the dose.
• Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the dose.
• Always verify the selected dose in the dose window before injecting.
• Do not press the injection button while adjusting the dose.
• Do not estimate the dose by counting clicks.
• If you accidentally select the wrong dose, adjust the knob until the correct value appears.

How to inject Cinnatropin?

Injecting the Medication

Follow these steps to safely administer your CinnaTropin Pen injection.

Step 15 — Prepare the Injection Site

Clean the selected injection site with an alcohol wipe and allow the skin to dry completely before injecting.

Step 16 — Pinch the Skin

Using your free hand, gently pinch a small fold of skin at the injection site. This helps ensure the medication is injected into the subcutaneous tissue.

Step 17 — Insert the Needle

Hold the pen at a 90° angle to the skin and insert the needle straight into the pinched skin with a quick, steady motion.

Step 18 — Press the Injection Button

Press the injection button all the way down until it stops. Continue holding the button without releasing it while the medication is being delivered.

Step 19 — Hold for 10 Seconds

Keep the injection button fully pressed and hold the pen in place for 10 seconds after the dose indicator reaches “0”. This helps ensure the full dose has been delivered.

Step 20 — Remove the Pen

Remove the needle straight out from the skin. Apply gentle pressure to the injection site with a clean cotton ball or gauze if needed. Do not rub the injection site.

After the Injection

• Carefully remove the used needle and dispose of it in an approved sharps container.
• Never reuse needles.
• Replace the pen cap before storing the pen.
• Rotate injection sites with each dose to reduce the risk of skin irritation or lipodystrophy.
• Store the pen according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Important: Never recap a used needle with your hands. Dispose of used needles immediately in a puncture-resistant sharps container. Never share your CinnaTropin Pen with another person, even if the needle has been replaced.
